* * * SPAM ALERT * * *
On 12-2-2007, at least one bulk email sender (spammer) began stamping
bogus "@JCMDI.COM" sender addresses on their worldwide mass junkmail
(known as email "spoofing"). NONE of those messages originated at JCMDI,
nor did our servers send/forward them. We do NOT mass mail/spam - EVER.
The spam message headers show that many hijacked SMPT servers were used,
a typical spammer tactic. Our inboxes have been swamped with bad address
notices and returned mail from older mail servers which are not smart
enough to recognize the "spoofed" address tactic. JCMDI.COM is as much
of a victim as you are, and we hope that perpetrators will be brought to
justice as soon as possible. In the meantime, please be sure your
anti-spam program is up to date, or consider installing one if you
haven't already. Many freeware anti-spam programs are available.
